1. Take time to reflect on the values that define your relationship. Consider the pillars of your relationship, and what feels important and valuable for you both. You can also have a bit of fun, not all vows have to be serious.
2. Not every couple chooses to make promises to each other, however, if you would like to, you can use your vows as an opportunity to express your unique promises and commitments to each other.
3. Add qualities about your partner that inspire you, and that you love, respect and admire.
4. Think about the different qualities that you each bring to your relationship, and how you work well together as a team.
5. It could be that you choose to share your vows as a part of your ceremony, or maybe you would prefer to do this privately and intimately with one another before or after your wedding ceremony. It’s always a good idea to practice reading your vows aloud to see how they flow and feel.
